" It was claimed long ago that the function of both play and art is therapeutic." Ellen Dissanayake, Homo Aestheticus

THE NATURE OF MY WORK

Nina offers therapeutic sessions using the creative arts, imaginative play, music, and sandplay with a focus on the needs of children of all ages, parents, and adults. The purpose is to create a safe space whereby the real or imaginary story unfolds unlocking the mysteries that open the secrets of the mind. This release has the potential to calm the mind, body, and the spirit by healing trauma. Verbal, non-verbal, or symbolic communication happens once trust is established with an active participation by the patient immersed in a variety of modalities. The intention is to achieve balance and control with less emotional stress and physical pain to experience more joy, vitality, and less anxiety.
